About Us
The foundation "ALEX", non-governmental charity organization,
was set up on April 16, 1999. The foundation is named after the last heir's name
of the royal house of Russia, Alexey Romanov, who suffered from severe form of
hemophilia. He was tortured and killed by Bolsheviks in Ekaterinburg, on July 17,
1918.
The foundation cares for people with hemophilia and other
disabilities, and their families. The priorities of the foundation are to ensure
the security of their civil rights and to help their integration with the
community.
To achieve this ends the foundation maintains active
collaboration both with governmental and non-governmental institutions in
Georgia and abroad, who support it in solution to the mentioned problems.
ALEX ensures funding of projects on social rehabilitation, integration,
education and employment of the mentioned people.
The governing and representative body of the foundation ALEX is Board.

Koba Nadiradze
A founder of the Georgian Association of Hemophilia & Donorship (GAHD); Vice
President of the GAHD in 1990-1998; now Chairmen of the Board of ALEX. According
to his position he is involved in all issues of the foundation.
He has the degree in economics. He has hemophilia. He is married with two children
(twins).
He loves playing chess and driving a car.

Giorgi GiguaSvili
Representative of the founder organization of ALEX - the GAHD.
Future economist. He has hemophilia.
He loves Internet, beautiful women and cars.

Teimuraz Zakaraia
Born in 1963; a founder of ALEX; degree in biology.
He has hemophilia. He is married with a three-year-old boy.
He loves children, having a good time with friends at table, and playing
with his child.

Mamuka Mchedlishvili
Born in 1968; a founder of ALEX; degree in engineering.
He is married with a nine-year-old hemophiliac boy.
He loves good beer, Bulgakov's "Master and Margarita", watching waterfalls,
and adores beautiful women.
